Where Does Time Go? Explore the Concept Through the Music of Marta Burton

Singing the music of the greats such as Cole Porter, George and Ira Gershwin, Stephen Sondheim and Andrew Lloyd Webber, Marta Burton has held audiences spellbound in theaters and concert halls in the U.S. and abroad and has starred with major orchestras including The National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center. On Wednesday, June 12, you can catch Marta at ‘Arts in the Afternoon’ at The Lone Tree Hub.

Since moving from New York to Denver, she been researching, writing, producing and performing in concerts that weave narrative, multimedia and literature with music. Marta had the enormous pleasure of collaborating with composers and performers, as well as arts, education, and humanitarian organizations to develop, stage and perform new works.

From Swallow Hill to the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, from libraries to community centers, cathedrals to senior residences and memory care facilities, she takes great pleasure in creating unique performances that entertain and enlighten.

‘Arts in the Afternoon’ is a series of week day afternoon concerts and performances designed to transport you out of the ordinary. Enjoy a variety of styles by professional performers in this intimate series. Refreshments are provided as a part of your ticket, so please stay after the performance to talk with performers, reflect on what you saw, and enjoy social time.
