Escape the ordinary and create memories that will last a lifetime at Glen Eyrie Castle. Take a tour on Thursday, October 3rd at 1:00 PM!
Glen Eyrie is a masterpiece, to say the least. Just minutes from downtown Colorado Springs, Glen Eyrie is the original estate of the city’s founder, General William Jackson Palmer. Today the property is proudly owned by the Navigators –an international Christian Ministry – serving the local community and international guests with gracious hospitality and unparalleled grandeur.
The centerpiece of this 800-acre oasis, with its towering rock formations, lush lawns, gardens, and wildlife, is, of course, the castle itself. Finished in 1904, its grand entryway welcomes all guests seeking a retreat from the busyness of life. For over a century, Glen Eyrie has been a stunning beauty, profound history, and awe-inspiring grandeur. Join us for a tour where your journey will be unforgettable!
Our tour is approximately 90 minutes. It includes a brief video filled with a history of General Palmer and The Navigators, and a Guided Walking Tour through the Carriage House and the first and second floors of The Glen Eyrie Castle. Our trained tour guides will entertain you with stories of the Palmer family, Glen Eyrie Estate, unique castle architecture, surrounding landscape, and Colorado Springs history.
